Shipping	For shipment of an instrument to your home or business address. Violins and Violas typically ship out within 3 business days; cellos within 5 business days.

In Store Pickup	For prepaid pickup in our Newton Store Monday-Saturday (Waltham Store for basses Tuesday-Saturday). Note we require 1-2 business days to prepare rentals for pickup. Orders placed Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday may not be ready for pickup until the following Tuesday during peak seasons. You will be phoned and emailed when the instrument is ready for pickup. We're sorry! In order to process your request, we need to know what size of instrument you need. A proper fitting is a crucial first step in learning to play a stringed instrument. Small children play smaller-scaled instruments; children over the age of 12 usually play full-sized (4/4) instruments. To schedule a fitting by our staff, please come in to visit us, or call your teacher for a sizing recommendation.

We're sorry! We currently do not offer string bass rental pre-registration through our Web site. To rent a string bass, please call us for pricing, availability, and with any questions.

Our Standard instrument outfits come with a durable, horsehair-strung fiberglass bow. This is a good choice for beginners: our fiberglass bows play well, and require very little maintenance.

You may elect to upgrade your bow to a carbon fiber or wooden bow for an additional charge. These bows are a little lighter in weight, and have more advanced playing characteristics than our default fiberglass bows. (These are the same bows used with our Advanced and Master categories of rentals.) If you elect to take this upgrade, we'll send you the best of what we have on hand at the moment, either carbon fiber or wood, depending on our stock. (Please note: at this time, we do not offer bow upgrades for 1/10 and 1/16-sized rentals.)
