This is the string of choice for such bass virtuosos as Ron Carter, Buster Williams and Steve Novosel. LaBella Professional Jazz Series strings are metal rope core strings, and for a smooth feel are wrapped with a black nylon. Over 20 years ago, LaBella worked together with both Attila Zoller and Ron Carter on this string construction. Obtaining the tone of gut and the sustain of metal, this string design is great for Jazz pizzicato solos. The rope core with the black nylon tape outer-wrapping provides a bright attack with a warm tone.
