Shipping Assistant - Part-Time

Johnson String Instrument is seeking a part-time shipper to assist the Shipping Manager with all shipping related tasks, including but not limited to:

  • picking and packing items to be shipped
  • processing orders for domestic and international shipping
  • order packing materials and supplies
  • maintain and organize shipping and warehouse areas
  • work with other departments to fulfill special needs and requests

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, well-organized, and works well in a team setting. Previous experience in a high-volume shipping environment is preferred. Solid computer skills and knowledge of music products are also a plus.

Part-time, 28 hours per week. Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work during busy seasons.

Rental Workshop Luthier

Johnson String Instrument is seeking a full-time luthier to join our rental repair workshop staff in Waltham, MA. Work includes set-up and maintenance of rental violins, violas, and cellos.

Repair, set-up or making experience with bowed string instruments strongly preferred. Quick and accurate work is expected, as we are a high-volume shop with high standards. Tremendous attention to detail and ability to focus amidst a busy shop are essential!

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Excellent entry level position with full benefits package including health and dental insurance, 401K with matching, and paid vacation and personal time.
