Dear parent or guardian:
Johnson String Instrument will be delivering rental violins to the Lafayette Public School September 23, 2008. If you would like to make arrangements for a rental instrument for your son or daughter for the upcoming school year, please take the time to read this letter, and follow the instructions below.
Last day to register for delivery: Monday, September 22, 2008
Because September is an extremely busy time of year at Johnson’s, please reserve your instrument by visiting our Web site (www.johnsonstring.com), or call us at 800-359-9351. We will be delivering all pre-registered instruments September 22, and we can make arrangements to ship instruments directly after the delivery date, for an additional shipping fee ($15). Pre-registering for a rental violin ensures that your child will be placed with an instrument—since we receive such a high quantity of requests each Fall, pre-registering prevents a delay in delivery.
Have this information ready in order to reserve a rental instrument
* A valid credit card (required for security)
* A valid driver’s license number (or MA state I.D.)
If you place an order through our Web site, or if you call us, you will need to supply us with basic information in order to open an account. We will need your home address, telephone number, and the age and grade of the student who will be taking lessons. Please note: we require a valid credit card number for all of our rental customers.
Please choose a rental option that fits your budget
We are offering Everett Public School renters a 9 month rate for the entire school year:
9 Months (from September ’08 - June ’09) $215.10
Rent must be pre-paid prior to the delivery date—please understand that we are unable to reserve an instrument for you unless you pre-pay for your rental. If you would prefer, we also offer rates for a smaller time-period: 3 Months for $78.00, or 6 Months for $149.70. Prices include insurance and sales tax. In addition, all renters will need to purchase an inexpensive foam shoulder rest for $3.25 (this will be added to your order automatically). You will receive a notice in the mail to renew your rental approximately one month prior to your account’s due date.

If you would like to return your instrument at the close of the school year, we will be visiting the Lafayette School in late June 2009.
